Set in the heart of Polis, C & A Tourist Apartments offers a secluded and tranquil environment with a hidden secret. Once you have passed through the reception you enter into a new world, unseen from the outside world. What is this hidden secret you ask?
Let me tell you and it is the main reason why we are so proudly associated with this wonderful place.
The C & A Tourist Apartments are entirely family owned and run. The secret is… these apartments cater both for guests with disabilities and also able bodied guests. Everyone who stays is made to feel most welcome by this very hospitable family.
One of the owners, Chris, is a wheel chair user himself. You can,t help but like Chris, everyone who knows him is aware of his cheerful and positive nature. The very charismatic Chris suffers from Friedreichs Ataxia, a neurological inherited degenerative disease which attacks the central nervous system and causes movement problems. Chris was 18 when he went for tests and was subsequently diagnosed with the disease. One of the main symptoms is a lack of coordination, resulting in the sufferer not being about to walk well. He is now approaching 50 and has learned to live, work and enjoy life with his condition, constantly turning a disability to his advantage.
All the apartment rooms have been designed and tested by Chris, along with the rest of the facilities that are offered. There is a pool hoist, raised sun beds, low level roll in shower access in all rooms, and drop down rails on either side of the toilets.
There are even specially adapted minibuses to collect guests from the airport and these are also used to take guests on day trips to explore the island. It is also possible to hire mobility equipment, such as powered wheelchairs or scooters, hoists etc. These can be delivered anywhere on the island.
If you have a disability and find it difficult locating a holiday complex that caters for your needs then why not contact Chris today, he is always willing to assist.
